Roller Blinds

Plain Blockout Roller Blinds

Double Roller Blinds are made up of two separate Roller Blinds using one common bracket. The Blockout Roller is fitted in the top slot of the bracket (front rolled) and either a Sunscreen or a Light Filter Roller in the lower slot of the bracket (back or front rolled). Before ordering this product the first thing you should do is check you can fit the bracket into your frame recess. The dimensions are 88mm across and 150mm down. You could fit it in a 90mm recess comfortably and blinds will be flush inside frame. Less than a 90mm recess will still work, (minimum recommended 60mm) but the bracket and blinds will protrude from the frame. You can outside mount the Double Bracket but you will have significant light gaps. Contact us if you think this affects you as we can discuss options. Standard Roller Blind light gaps apply with Double Rollers

Double Rollers are multifunctional. The Sunscreen provides UV protection, daytime shading and privacy. While the Blockout gives nighttime privacy and a thermal factor. Each blind has its own chain, so you can independently control the blinds, generally chains are on the same side.

The roll direction of the top blind is defaulted to front roll, this is the only option for the top blind. The lower blind (Sunscreen or Light Filter) is typically back rolled to provide clearance from the top blind. You can opt to front roll the lower blind if you are needing to avoid a window latch or door handle. If double front roll applies to you, we suggest ordering oval bottom rails on your order. Oval bottom rails are the sleekest profile and they tend to glide over one another.

It is not generally advised that you order Double Rollers for outside fit, unless you are ok with large light gaps. Blinds will protrude out 90mm, so would not be ideal for a bedroom. If you don't have the frame depth for a Double Bracket an alternative you could consider is one blind inside fit (the Light Filter or Sunscreen) and one blind outside fit back rolled (the Blockout). They would not longer be considered Double Blinds as they are two separate sizes and require separate brackets.
